NMC Health Express: Free Medical Check up at NMC Abu Dhabi
As part of NMC’s initiative towards the Diabetes month, NMC Specialty Hospital Abu Dhabi is organising ‘NMC Health Express’ a Free Diabetes Checkup cum Health Camp open to the public where you could check your BMI, Blood Pressure and get your Sugar & Lipid profile tests done instantly.
Dr Rakesh Malhotra, Head of Endocrinology Department said “The aim of NMC Health Express is to raise awareness for diabetes in our society. The camp would be conducted in the Mezzanine floor of the NMC Specialty tower building on Electra street on the 28th, 29th and 30th November 2010. Those opting for the check-up can walk in any time between 9 am to 6 pm. The results will be available instantly and this would help identify individual at high risk and the medical assistants will then be able to advise the patient what to do next. This is an important health check as screening can help to indicate whether you have or the likelihood that you may develop diabetes. Once diagnosed, diabetes can be effectively controlled with small lifestyle changes or medication.”
