To commemorate the World Heart Day-2011, NMC specialty Hospital organized a Health screening camp and an informational lecture on “Heart Attacks” at the Labor Village of Nael General constructions Est. on Friday, 30th Sept 2011.

 

The camp saw a remarkable response from the laborers who thronged in large numbers to get themselves investigated by the clinical staff of NMC specialty Hospital, Al Ain. The Nursing staff probed the BP and BMI of over 175 employees in less than 2 hrs, which was an inspiring act commitment and speed.

 

Dr Sudhir Washimkar, Physician, Dept of Internal Medicine,NMC Al Ain  anchored the health talk and provided vital information on heart diseases, its prevention and diet required to for a healthy living. The entire session was truly a very interactive session where many employees got an opportunity to directly discuss their ailments with the doctor. Employees who required further attention and diagnosis were referred to the Hospital for treatment.

 

Considering the nature of work the laborers are involved in, it is very essential to provide periodic health check-up, crucial information and awareness on health to them on a timely basis. This initiated NMC Specialty Hospital to reach out to the laborers of Nael General Constructions Est. to promote healthier lifestyles.
